What we have been up to

I have been taking pictures to post on the blog, but never have enough time to do it chronologically.
So, to catch up on some events here we go...


Last Saturday we went to a FREE Easter egg hunt at This Is The Place. It was a zoo, we did not stay log because of the lines.

These are from The Craft party at Leah's house. We had lots of fun making mouses from washcloths and nests.

April Snow

It has been snowing all day yesterday and today. Spring snow is always fun as long as you know that it will melt with the first rays of sunshine.

I apologize for not being good at blogging, I always want to do it but there is just too much going on. But I promise to be better:)

Here are some pics of AJ and Tasia playing in the Snow. Tasia was so excited to make a snowman again, it turned put to be little small, but still a snowman...

This last Tuesday Tasia was trying to clean her room. it was a MESS. We have been struggling to motivate her to clean it, instead she decided to give herself a haircut. I was in shock, I tried fixing it the best i could but it still looks funny. Oh well, that is what I get for doing haircuts myself i guess.

The rest of our Texas trip will be coming up shortly...

Our Trip to Texas

We are HOME from the longest drive of our lives!!! 24 hours in the car non stop seemed almost impossible, but we did it. The hardest part was of course at night. We had no time to stop at the hotel so we had to drive through the night. Kids were just a little restless at night, but toward the morning they were all soundly sleeping.




My sweet Sister in law Carolyn and Mother in law Susan prepared these amazing bags for kids for the long road trip. It has literally saved our lives.



I admit it was nice when Tasia glued her mouth shut with the stickers, we enjoyed a couple of minutes of silence:)



We sticked stickers on everything we could....

















They had so many fun little things like stickers, coloring books, crayons and pencils. Laminated letter and name worksheets for erase and write. Make a pronsess crown kit and a braslet kit. She also had some things she took time to cut out like a baby and different outfits that went with it. AJ too had some wrapped cars, a Light Buzz Year with a talking brayslet, magnifying glass (because she usually steals G-pa's) and ton of other cool things to entertain himself.

As soon as the sun came up it gives even the sleepy person that awake feeling which we really appreciated. Cince we were going such a long way we wanted to have some kind of an interesting stop in the middle of our long drive. Jim decided that we needed to visit Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico. I had imagined a big cave, like Mnt. Timp cave or something, but this one had blew my mind. it was so humangus and 1,5 hour tour was only the smallest tour we could take with the kids. It was breathtaking to see the beauty of underground. Some of the pictures that had worked put don't even come close to how big and beautiful the cave was.


While waiting for the shuttle to the caves AJ and I found this cool car. AJ loved pretending to drive it.

After we had visited the cave it was another 8 hour drive to Fort Worth, Texas. Kids did amazingly well, which surprised me.


The only time they had become restless and whiny was during the last hour of the whole trip. Well, I was done with it too. it seemed like we almost made it and that we were almost there, but the last hours seemed longer then the previous 23 hours and we had driven. I don't know why it happens that way. But it was the worse.

Next Day my friend Katya showed us around Fort Worth. it was 75C weather that we had a chance to enjoy. Worth Worth is a HUGE city. We have visited a botanical garden with man made waterfalls. The picture from the did not work out. Here is a little one with the sprinkling water.

Then we went to the the Texas Big Horn Bulls. Kids got a chance to see a cool train. Have hat balloons made by a cloun and ride a 25 cent carousel.

My good old friend Katya and her baby. We used to go to school together. She was so nice to let us crash at her house for 3 days. Thank you Katya.

Haircuts

Couple of weeks ago I went and finally got my hair chopped, whole 9 inches of it. What a relief!!!
I am having a lot of fun styling it almost every day! Can you believe it has been 2 years since my last haircut???

A week later we decided Tasia needed to keep up with me, and I cut her hair and bangs. Now I am having double fun of styling her and my hair. After the haircut she kept going to the mirror and saying I look different, I look different! I love playing with my little doll.

Party Time for AJ

It's Party Time for my kids, when I am trying to work on the computer. Well I don't complain, at least they are keeping themselves busy. They play well, then they hit each other, then make up by kissing each other better. That is a cycle of life of siblings I guess.

I have been so lazy on doing any posts.



It has been a little more relaxed around here lately. I think we are getting used to new changes and that is a good thing.

Some good news:

1.Jim does not start his clinical untol March, so we have some time to have him for ourselves. yeah!!!

2. Jim got his school schedule and he will be done in July 9 instead of August. That was the most exciting news i needed to hear.

Since my Mom will be here sometime in July we hoped to have some time to show her more parts of Utah (Like Zion's Park) that she has never seen. I was worried that we won't be able to do anything before the baby because of school schedule but now it looks like it might work out!
This makes me so happy!!!

3. We are going to go on a LONG Road trip to Texas, for Jim's seminar. We are a little scared and excited at the same time. And yes the kids are coming. I have some friends in Texas that we are going to stay at. And who knows me, I just love traveling and seeing new places. I have never been to Texas, I have only heard that it is worm there in march, so the change of scenery will be exciting.

We have had a couple of more or less relaxing week-ends. Last week-end I did not have any sessions, but we had time for family!!! We went to the Lehi Pool. Kids had so much fun, including the adults. There is something about water and me, I am happy in it. Tasia found instant friends in a second. AJ was a little afraid, he was pretty much holding on to ether Jim's or my body. Only after about an hour he relaxed and started having fun.

What has been new...

... Well, the first part of the long 7 month journey has just started and we already want it to be over. I knew it was going to be hard, but when you are faced with all the things you have to go through it sometimes seems unbearable.

Jim has started his course work in Massage Therapy and he has learned to like it. It was something to get used to. Well shortly speaking Jim almost quit after the first day of massage on real people. I got a call from Jim and he did not sound that happy. He basically said "I think it is not for me".
Well, it was a time for me to encourage him not to give it up and stick with it. Some other things weren't working out as well .

1. Jim's sub at work (a new intern who was supposed to help with the workload) was not very devoted to her job and was just plain lazy. She got fired on only her third day at work and Jim was feeling bad every time he had to leave for school and was once again in search for a new MA.

2. Both of our cars have some problems that could result in not having a car. Plus today, somebody broke in into Jim's Explorer, broke the window and stole the only thing that was worth money, Jim's years ago Birthday percent Radio and a CD player.

3. Jim was not very excited about having to find a second job. Now we just found out that they have work clinics at school as part of the curriculum that will take up about 4 hours twice a week. So it looks like the other 3 nights that we have left we won't see our Dad at all. We are really NOT looking forward to all of this. And it does feels like you are going though a refiner's fire after you get an answer to do something. Gosh, I really DO HOPE that something good will come out of ALL of this in 7 months. But for NOW We just need to SURVIVE!!!

Well enough of pity talk now the THINGS that Make me HAPPY:

1.Believe it or not my children (most of the time they are a Pain) pnce in a while suprize me by saying somthing like "Mom, I love you so much" and sometimes before bed AJ will give me some of his priceless kisses and cuddles while I rock him to sleep. Their love reminds me why we do all these things in the first place.

2.My friends that brighten up my day every day.

3. Daydreaming about Spring and Summer and all the fun we can do outside.

4. The baby kicks every once in a while

5. Walks in the park whenever sun shines

There are a lot more things that I should be grateful for rather then whining about.
